Educational and methodological work

Lecturers and instructors of the Department apply modern technologies, use Internet resources, their own manuals and textbooks as well as textbooks from Great Britain and the USA to support classes.

A test system is being developed for monitoring students’ knowledge in concordance with the European Credit Transfer system.

The Department is proud of its up-to-date textbooks, course books, methodical guides and testing materials developed by the staff members that help students acquire knowledge and skills at a required level of language competence.

The Department offers computer-aided multimedia facilities to assist students with their studies.

The Department’s three Resource Rooms are equipped with data projectors, video recorders and television sets linked to an external antenna, which enable learners to view videos and satellite telecasts from Great Britain, the United States, Germany, and France.

Students can also use the departmental library’s printed and electronic resources: textbooks, course books, reference books, bilingual general and terminological dictionaries, multimedia practice materials and translation software.

A Linguistic Centre operates for students who want to advance their language skills beyond the programme.
