KhNAHU at the Heart of the International Scientific Discussion on Ukraine’s Environmental Security

On April 22, 2026, Kyiv hosted the XIX International Scientific Conference "Monitoring of Geological Processes and Ecological Condition of the Environment." This prestigious forum gathered leading experts to address the most pressing environmental and technological challenges of the modern era. Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University was represented at the event by Olena Krainiuk, Head of the Cybersecurity Department.

She opened the afternoon session with a keynote presentation titled: "Monitoring of geosystems in zones of technogenic impact from combat operations in the eastern Kharkiv region." The study, co-authored with colleagues Y. Buts, V. Barbashyn, O. Nikitchenko, and M. Krainiuk, focuses on the critical issue of monitoring geosystems within areas affected by military operations in eastern Ukraine.

The findings sparked significant interest among the international scientific community, as the restoration and ecological safety of de-occupied territories remain a top national priority. Participating in such high-level international forums allows KhNAHU faculty to share unique field data, exchange expertise with global partners, and integrate advanced monitoring practices into the university's research and educational programs.
