Ponikarovska S.V. graduated from O.M. Gorky Kharkiv State University (now V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University), Faculty of Foreign Languages, in 1985.

Ponikarovska S.V. has been working at KhNAHU (KhADI) since 1985.

From 2006 to 2016 Ponikarovska S.V. was the Deputy Chief of the Department of Foreign Languages No. 2, and since 2016 she has been the Deputy Chief of the Department of Foreign Languages.

Ponikarovska S.V. is the author of more than 60 scientific articles, 40 manuals, and 5 textbooks.

Focus of scientific interests: intercultural communication, individual approach to teaching, new technologies in teaching foreign languages, peculiarities of teaching foreign languages in Western Europe.
